SYNOPSIS: Plagued by the abuse of her past and the turmoil of failed intimate encounters, Laura struggles to find a lover and a sense of normalcy. Her beacon of hope comes in sixteen year-old Eva, a talented pianist disillusioned by the life her mother imposes upon her. An unlikely relationship is formed between the two and Eva becomes an obsession to Laura. In light of Eva’s unhappiness, Laura convinces her to runaway to her house and they soon find themselves caught within an intense entanglement. Manipulation, denial and codependency fuel what ultimately becomes a fractured dynamic that can only sustain itself for so long.

SYNOPSIS: On an August afternoon, Charlotte, 68, drags a mattress out to her favorite spot near her hilltop home. There she downs a lethal dose of Nembutal, chasing it with a shot of whisky. Daniel, her husband of 41 years, helps her lie down. A few minutes later her heart seizes to beat and she’s gone. This film follows the events of Charlotte and her family as they spend a final weekend together before her suicide. Once a successful psychotherapist, Charlotte has been suffering from dementia for the past three years, battling against its unrelenting transformation over her memory and judgment. Having always been steadfast with her views on suicide, Charlotte's two children were aware that her death was imminent but nothing could have prepared them for the surrealistic experience it would be. We aim to explore the most sacred elements of our existence: family, life, love and death.
